Jenn dePaula is the co-owner/founder of Mixtus Media, a Nashville based digital PR & marketing firm that specializes in social networking, digital PR and website setup and integration. She has over 10 years of experience in publicity and marketing within a wide range of genres.
Jenn got her start in the music industry working for Essential Records in 2000. She served as publicist and worked with Jars of Clay, Third Day, Bebo Norman, Andrew Peterson, the City On A Hill projects, FFH, and corporate PR. She moved to EMI CMG (Sparrow Records) in 2001 and served as publicist for four years, heading up PR campaigns for such artists as Switchfoot, Newsboys, Lifehouse, Matt Redman, Chris Tomlin, David Crowder Band, Bethany Dillon, Andy Griffith, Matthew West, Delirious, Worship Together, Tim Hughes, Andy Hunter as well as compilations and corporate PR.
In 2005 she ventured out on her own to start BookEnd Media, which was formed to serve the independent music community as well as various authors and small businesses. She has worked with various independent artists such as Amy Courts, Jill Phillips, Justin McRoberts, Sarah MacIntosh, Soular, Scratch Track, Trevor Davis, Jon Abel, Alli Rogers, Brenton Brown, Kemper Crabb, and Waterdeep, just to name a few. She has also represented businesses such as Audio One Tennessee, CJ's Off the Square, Designer Renaissance, and Dove Wedding Photography. A few authors she has worked with are Kim Thomas, Robert Benson, Christa Banister, Rick Slaughter, and the Crossbooks Publishing roster.
A 2000 graduate of Greenville College, she holds a degree in Communication: Public Relations.
Marcus dePaula got his start working in the music industry serving as the production manager for Cafe Milano in Nashville, TN in the mid-90‘s, and later went on to work for seven years with Clair Bros. Enterprises in Nashville, TN as a touring live audio engineer and systems technician. He developed his technical expertise and troubleshooting skills in the intense and fast pace touring environment, becoming one of the most sought-after monitor engineers in Nashville. He toured with many artists and bands including Wes King, Susan Ashton, Michael Card, Out of the Grey, Third Day, Over The Rhine, dcTalk, Jars of Clay, Steven Curtis Chapman, Fernando Ortega, Ginny Owens, Audio Adrenaline, David Crowder Band, Michael W. Smith, Mercy Me, Amy Grant, Reliant K, Michelle Branch and Creed.
After “retiring” from touring, Marcus joined the Audio One Nashville team where he was a CEDIA certified Systems Installation Technician specializing in planning and installing professional recording studios and home theaters. Marcus later joined the staff of his church, The Village Chapel, serving as Technical Director where he served for seven years. It was there that he began working with Joomla CMS in setting up their new website. He now spends every spare moment developing his knowledge and expertise with Joomla and it’s many extensions, along with other web technologies.
Marcus also recently began teaching part time at The Contemporary Music Center, instructing college students from around the country in audio engineering, concert production and studio recording.
