Facebook Scheduling Feature Not Working? We Got Ya Covered!
Facebook has a new feature that allows you to schedule your posts right on your Facebook Page. Now, I love me some HootSuite and Buffer and rely heavily on them, but I do think that scheduling posts directly on Facebook is a nice option to have. So I thought I would check it out.
Well, I ran into some problems. The Facebook Help Center said that I had to click the clock icon at the bottom left hand side of the sharing tool and we can choose the future year, month, day, hour and minute I’d like my post to appear. They said it would look like this:
...and then I could start scheduling updates.
But lo and behold, mine (or I should say a page that I manage) didn’t look like that. It looked like this:
So here’s the trick to make scheduling work on your Facebook Page...
**You have to have when your page BEGAN in order to schedule for the future OR add a date/event to the past.
It's an easy fix for a handy tool to schedule updates directly on your Facebook Page.
So there you have it folks. In order to schedule for the future you have to take care of the past first ;)
