How Authors Can Create Easy and Quick Animated Videos For Social Media for FREE
If you’re looking to increase engagement and visibility online, something you should strongly consider is to incorporate more video into your strategy. Video is the future - especially when it comes to social media.
Oftentimes when we think about video, thoughts of expensive equipment, lighting, editing, let alone having to step in front of the camera come to mind and we instantly dismiss it.
The great thing is that even incorporating a little movement or animation into a meme or photo is a simple and powerful way to add video to your social media strategy.
Better yet, it's easy to do and you can do it for FREE!
One our favorite tools that we use every day is called Adobe Spark. We use it to create amazing images for social media, websites, blog posts, newsletters - you name it.
And it’s completely free! I have a tutorial on how to create images using Adobe Spark, so be sure to check that out if you haven't already.
But today we are going to shift gears a bit and see how you can use the Adobe Spark mobile app to create a quick animated video to use on social media.
First of all, you want to download the Adobe Spark Post app. Make sure you download the POST app (and not the video app) for this example.
Once you create your Adobe Spark image, select the “Effects” option on the bottom righthand side.
You’ll be able to select filters or animation. Select “animation” and Adobe Spark will give you options for animating the text or the photo. You can select each option to see what it does.
Once you select your animation, click ‘done’ and Adobe Spark will apply it to your image.
When you’re finished, select “share” at the top righthand corner and it will ask you to save the post as a video or image. Save it as a video and then you can save it or share it.
And that’s it! An easy (and free!!) way to create a simple animated video. Here's the final product!
Just think - you can make a cool video while you’re in your pajamas! Easily and for free!
And it's actually a lot of fun!
It's an easy way to add some movement and texture to your social media posts. So if you're not quite ready to do a Facebook Live or create other videos, or if you're just looking for something new to incorporate into your social media strategy, this is a fantastic option.
